Ways to Give: Current Gifts

Cash
Gifts of cash or in the form of a check is the simplest and most immediate way people contribute to Union Hospital Foundation. Cash gifts may also be pledged over a number of years. Visa or MasterCard and American contributions are also accepted

Gifts of Securities
Stock that has increased in value is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving, once it has been held for a minimum of a year. Making a gift of securities to us offers you the chance to help our organization while realizing many important benefits for yourself.  Giving appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds allows you to avoid capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of the asset

Gifts of Real Estate
Qualified gifts of real estate such as your house, farm or commercial property can be given outright to support the Foundation, and the donor receives a tax deduction for the fair market value of the property.

Make a Memorial Gift
Union Hospital Foundation welcomes memorial and tribute gifts, which may be given to honor a special relative, friend or associate. Gifts are given to provide a meaningful and lasting memorial, or to celebrate a loved one's special occasion. Donations may be unrestricted gifts or designated for a specific purpose or area at the hospital. Notification is sent to the honoree or to the family, in the case of a memorial gift. The amount of your gift will not be mentioned.  Establishing a memorial is a twofold gesture. First, you honor a loved one or yourself. Second, your charitable gift serves as an endorsement of our good works.

Endowed Named Funds
Special endowed funds can be established in your own name or in the name of someone meaningful to you with a minimum gift of $25,000. The Foundation administers the following endowed named funds, all of which were established for a specific purpose.
